In Late- September and October we will be studying "Animals and their Habitats" in Science. Classes have already studied either Giant Pandas, Snakes, and Elephants based on their grade. Here is a great picture of an elementary Giant Panda painting and of Elephants made with early elementary. Science is fun!

Moon Sand Science

As promised, I tried a recipe for Moon Sand today. It was much cheaper to make than the $19.95 it is listed for on Amazon. Not as good quality, but fun either way to play with (and it smells amazing)! Extension activities to go with this include using your fraction knowledge to double the recipe or try different food coloring colors to make new color.
